Commentary:

Summary: University of North Dakota School of Medicine has excellent policies concerning gifts and scholarship & trainee funds. There are also good policies regarding site access by industry representatives. However, few other policies applied to assessed domains in a meaningful way.

Demographics: On average students spend 40% of their training at Sanford Health System, 25% at Medcenter One, and 25% at St. Alexius Medical Center. As a community based medical school, University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences does not directly control a teaching hospital, rather it sends students to the health care systems in the state which maintain their own policies. Submitted policies apply to students and residents at all sites however it is unclear if they apply to faculty at these institutions.
