Commentary:This institution supplied AMSA with a newly updated conflict of interest policy after the submission deadline had passed. This policy was evaluated and the final grade remains an F. This institution submitted new policies for the 2011-2012 AMSA PharmFree Scorecard that only covered one domain - namely, disclosure. There was no language in the policies regarding gifts, samples, purchasing and formularies, on and off-site education, industry sales representatives, curriculum, scholarships or other funds for trainees, and enforcement of policies. The disclosure policy could be improved as it only asks for internal disclosure as an option for employees who enter a relationship that may have potential conflict of interest. It would be a model policy if they included disclosure to all trainees and also had a website with public disclosure.
Updates: This institution did not provide any new or additional for the 2012-13.This institution's evaluation was last updated: 6/15/2012
* The curricular review on 6/15/2012 was performed by the Scorecard Director and staff, not by blinded analysts, and is therefore an unofficial grade. An official scoring will take place in the fall, and any necessary changes will be announced then.
